Twitch Partnership

I am super excited to announce Twitch Partnership this week. Twitch reached out proposing an opportunity to utilise their platform to chat with the gaming community, play and network, following my grind to build socials and my doctoral research area. With the 'Just chatting' and 'IRL' streams becoming more popular in viewership than gameplay in recent years, the only delay I currently face - is that I am currently finishing my PhD research, however in downtime, because I game to relax, I can stream more.. On graduation, I will be streaming every few weeks to uplift, engage, and chill with followers, viewers and the community. Thank you Twitch for the opportunity, Kai Cenat's Streamer University may be an opportunity summer of '27, Guidance Counsellor or Positive Mindset, Well-being and Mental Health Coach.. following my certified Dr. official title. We will see, thanks to THM.

Who is Kemi? Bio & Career So Far

Kemi is a Journalist, Video Game Artist and Doctoral PhD Research Candidate with an undeniable genuine passion and enthusiasm for her profession and the video games industry. Born in the UK, Kemi begun her academic journey from an all girl’s private secondary school with a vision, and strong academic ability. She studied English Literature, Performing Arts and Media Studies at college, and later graduated from university with a Honours Degree in American Studies and History. Kemi then went on to obtain a Masters Degree in International Journalism at City University London. Qualifying as a Journalist, she learnt valuable experience in the print publishing, media and entertainment industry, interviewing celebrities, and interned with broadcasting corporations and leading UK magazines, learning editorial skills and self-taught web design including CMS, HTML, CSS and Javascript.

A few of Kemi's celebrity interviews include, artists such as Toni Braxton, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Omarion, Akon, choreographer Laurie Anne Gibson, and actors Danny Dyer, Marlon Wayans, Danny Glover, Charlie Murphy, Power leading actor Omari Hardwick amongst many others..

Kemi formerly wrote a monthly celebrity column for MTV UK's The Wrap Up, has also interned with FHM, VIBE Magazine, and worked with Atlantic Records, Revolver Entertainment, SMC Europe, TNT, BET International, Persona PR, Sony Music, Impressive PR, EA Games – The Sims FreePlay Gamer Influencer and Engagement Program, EGX , MTV Networks, ITV 1 talkbackTHAMES Syco TV Production for the X Factor UK. Kemi also worked as a publicist to Jermaine Riley - formerly 1/3 of UK R&B; Group FDM/Fundamental (03), who were previously signed to Geffen Records [USA] & Ne-Yo's Compound Entertainment Label.

Kemi is currently studying for a PhD in Game Technologies at the University of Gloucestershire, researching the positive psychological link between player experience and immersion in a popular character creation life stimulation in a mainstream AAA title game. With the encouragement from her supervisors, Kemi is working towards, releasing a publication, undertaking relevant fieldwork projects in support of her PhD, and completing a final thesis contributing to Gaming research study in the near future. Kemi is the only black female gamer in the UK to study at Doctoral level and she hopes to combine her expertise in Journalism, Media, Psychology, Sociology and Gaming after graduating with a Doctorate to collaborate with a leading Games developer and also mentor students who wish to pursue a career in interactive digital gaming related courses in the future. Following graduation she plans to also embrace post-doctoral research and potential publication collaborations with scholars, and professors within the same field.
