Drake's Toronto Mansion Architectural Digest

Following the debut of the music video for his new single Toosie Slide, Drake teams up with Architectural Digest to reveal all of his Toronto Mansion. Think of it as a full tour following a sneak peak in the music video.

The 50,000 Square foot home named 'The Embassy,' was designed by Canadian architect and interior designer Ferris Rafauli, has a NBA full sized indoor basketball court and a 3,200 square foot master bedroom suite. 'Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel. It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong,' Drake told AD.

Drake's home was modelled after a 19th century limestone mansion with modern Art Deco interiors. The epic great room for example, features 44 foot high ceilings with stunning features such as a custom designed grand piano and a centre piece metropolitan chandelier with 20,000 hand-cut Swarovski crystals.

'It's overwhelming high luxury, that message is delivered through the size of the rooms and the materials and details of the floors and ceilings. I wanted to make sure people can see the work I've put in over the years reflected from every vantage point,' Drake said.

Drake's favourite room is his 3,200 square foot master bedroom with an additional 1,100 square feet of covered terrace. The bedroom also has a 4,000 pound bathtub made of black marble, and his two closet houses showcase his collection of Hermes Birkin accessories. 'The bedroom is where I decompress from the world at the end of the night and where I open my eyes to seize the day. The bed let's you float, the shower let's you escape, and gather your thoughts, and the closet makes you want to talk to yourself while your getting dressed,' Drake tells us.

More features include an amazing world-class recording studio, indoor swimming pool, hall of sports with Kobe Bryant and LeBron James basketball jerseys, and an award room where Drake keeps his four Grammy's. 'I think the house shows that I have true faith in myself to take on this task when I was just 27 and see it through. I also think the house says that I will forever remain solid in the place I was born. 33 year old Drake also owns a home in Hidden Hills, California.
