It has been revealed that Sony PlayStation are working on new technology to remove loading screens from games, something so many gamers have been praying for. The official patent for this idea is called, 'System and method for dynamically loading game software for smooth game play.' It will basically load in data in advance to avoid loading wait screens.
The system will monitor the players character, and use the information to literally pre load new areas in preparation as the player approaches them. This does not mean that all load screens will disappear however, it particularly refers to load screens that interrupt gameplay so you would have initially have had to load up the game in the first instance, and then the in-game loading times will be greatly improved and practically non existent.
