Who is Kemi?
Biography & Career So Far

Kemi is a Journalist, Blogger, Influencer, Sociology and Gaming PhD Student with an undeniable genuine passion and enthusiasm for her profession. Her credentials speak volumes. Currently residing in London, England, Kemi grew up with an all girls private school educational background and strong academic ability, later graduating with a Bachelors Honors Degree in American Studies and History. Following the birth of her daughter Aaliyah, Kemi went on to obtain a Masters Degree in International Journalism at City University London. As a Mother - drive and determination are extremely important to her, and she aims to be the greatest role model she can be to her daughter.

Kemi formerly wrote a monthly celebrity column for MTV UK's The Wrap Up, has also interned with FHM, VIBE Magazine, and has worked with Atlantic Records, Revolver Entertainment, SMC Europe, Marilyn Lopez PR, Slip & Slide Records, TNT, BET International, Persona PR, Sony Music, BET Black Girls Rock Awards, Impressive PR, EA Games – The Sims FreePlay Gamer Influencer and Engagement Program, EGX , MTV Networks, ITV 1 talkbackTHAMES Syco TV Production X Factor.

Kemi also worked as a publicist to Jermaine Riley - formerly 1/3 of UK R&B Group FDM/Fundamental (03), who were previously signed to Geffen Records [USA] & Ne-Yo's Compound Entertainment Label.

Kemi is preparing to study for a PhD in Sociology and Gaming, researching the positive interactive benefits of the gaming world in the Rockstar North title Grand Theft Auto V. Alongside her amazing university supervisors, Kemi hopes to publish research study on one of the biggest video games in history. Catch her at some of the top gaming events in London and Europe this year and in the future, including EGX, and soon possibly E3 and Gamescom.

Uniquely Kemi is one of very few female black gamers and influencers, and hopes to combine her expertise in Journalism, Gaming and Media after gradating with a Doctorate to collaborate with a leading Games company and also teach video game related modules and courses as a visiting lecturer. She also hope to purchase a second property in the US and live between the States and the UK. The future looks bright and Kemi has never given up on her dreams and goals.
