It will soon be Mother’s Day in the US although ours has passed in the UK. K. Michelle pays homage to all the hard working single mothers out there in this beautiful video where a single mother and son's bond shines above all, during the happy times and the hard. The black and white Amil Barnes directed clip shows the sacrifices a single mother makes while raising her son, who later grows up and leaves to go to college making his Mom so so proud. At the end we see K Michelle and her real son - Chase. So beautiful I cried my eyes out, being a single Mom too.
'My son Chase is the center of my universe. My fans and media don’t often see him in the spotlight with me and that is because I work really hard to keep his childhood as normal and carefree as possible. I think the most difficult part of my job is not being there each night to tuck my son in, but the sacrifices I make while working are all with his better interest in mind. Being a mother is the most challenging and rewarding part of my life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.'
