Rihanna is said to be very angry that the lyrics on her new single S&M have been changed by her own record label. The Bajan stunner was mistakenly informed via Twitter that Leading UK station - BBC Radio 1 had changed the S&M song title to Come On. Initially Rihanna thought that Radio 1 had cut several words out of the song, such as Sex, and Chains, however it was infact Def Jam who made the changes to gain more radio air play. Ri Ri's reaction to this on her Twitter read, 'Are you f**king kidding me???'
A spokesperson for Radio 1 commented that, 'During daytime hours, as younger audiences are listening, we are playing the radio edit which is called Come On. This is due to the strong nature of the content in the original version of the track. However we will continue to play the original track in specialist shows with an appropriate introduction. It is common practice to play radio edits of certain tracks in daytime.'
The video to S&M has reportedly been banned in several countries, and in accordance with the Radio 1 released statement they are indeed the only radio station to play the full version.
