The Dream New Single 'Black'

Black
Following a controversial start to the week with Los Angeles Clipper's owner Donald Sterling’s shockingly bold racist comments regarding black NBA players, The Dream had taken to the studio to express himself in a powerful new song titled, 'Black.'  He focuses on the oppression blacks have endured, highlighting the influence of historical leaders, Obama, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela. I feel elated, strong and inspired but most importantly - proud to be black after listening to this song. 'Black isn’t just a color. Black isn’t just a race anymore. It’s a feeling and a place from which one feels isolated by the world of the governing elite. Classism is the new racism.'
