Rapper Diamond reveals that ex boyfriend Lil Scrappy was physically abusive on Breakfast Club Interview

Rapper Diamond recently stopped by The Breakfast Club, to talk about her career and past relationships. Diamond has signed to T.I produced reality show Sisterhood of Hip Hop - the show hits screens in the US later this year on Oxygen and will also feature Atlantic records artist Brianna Perry. Diamond used to date rappers Soulja Boy, and Lil Scrappy, and she talks in extensive detail, about former boyfriend and his Mom's Momma Dee, and also why she declined an offer to appear in Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. With all the drama surrounding rapper Diamond and her past relationship with Lil Scrappy, it’s no wonder reality show producers are beating her door down. Thankfully, she’s chosen the best route for her career, and has signed on to a T.I.-produced reality show titled Sisterhood of Hip Hop, which will showcase the behind-the-scenes of her career as she attempts to leave her mark on the rap game. The show will also feature four other rappers, including Atlantic artist Brianna Perry, and will air later this year on Oxygen.
This week, Diamond stopped by The Breakfast Club Morning Show to dish on her new show, and she spilled all the tea on her past relationship with Lil Scrappy, the drama between her and Scrappy’s mom Momma Dee, and how eventually she ruined her credit while trying to look out for her former boo and his mom. She also revealed why she turned down Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.

Who is Kemi? Bio & Career So Far

Kemi is a Journalist, Gamer and Doctoral PhD Research Student with an undeniable genuine passion and enthusiasm for her profession and the video games industry. Born in the UK, Kemi begun her academic journey from an all girl’s private secondary school with a vision, and strong academic ability. She studied English Literature, Performing Arts and Media Studies at college, and later graduated from university with a Honours Degree in American Studies and History. Kemi then went on to obtain a Masters Degree in International Journalism at City University London. Qualifying as a Journalist, she learnt valuable experience in the print publishing, media and entertainment industry, interviewing celebrities, and interned with broadcasting corporations and leading UK magazines, learning editorial skills and self-taught web design including CMS, HTML, CSS and Javascript.

A few of Kemi's celebrity interviews include, artists such as Toni Braxton, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Omarion, Akon, choreographer Laurie Anne Gibson, and actors Danny Dyer, Marlon Wayans, Danny Glover, Charlie Murphy, Power leading actor Omari Hardwick amongst many others..

Kemi formerly wrote a monthly celebrity column for MTV UK's The Wrap Up, has also interned with FHM, VIBE Magazine, and worked with Atlantic Records, Revolver Entertainment, SMC Europe, TNT, BET International, Persona PR, Sony Music, Impressive PR, EA Games – The Sims FreePlay Gamer Influencer and Engagement Program, EGX , MTV Networks, ITV 1 talkbackTHAMES Syco TV Production for the X Factor UK. Kemi also worked as a publicist to Jermaine Riley - formerly 1/3 of UK R&B; Group FDM/Fundamental (03), who were previously signed to Geffen Records [USA] & Ne-Yo's Compound Entertainment Label.

Kemi is currently studying for a PhD in Game Technologies at the University of Gloucestershire, researching the positive psychological link between player experience and immersion in a popular character creation life stimulation in a mainstream AAA title game. Alongside her valuable supervisors who believed in and supported her vision, Kemi is working towards, releasing publications, undertaking relevant fieldwork projects in support of her PhD, and completing a final thesis contributing to Gaming research study in the next few years. Kemi is one of very few leading black female gamers and she hopes to combine her expertise in Journalism, Media, and Gaming after graduating with a Doctorate to collaborate with a leading Games company and also teach students who wish to pursue a career in interactive digital gaming related modules in the future. She plans to move abroad to South Africa on graduation, and work on opening a creative gaming academy for younger enthusiasts.
